The Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Consulting Engineer in AGL's Business Energy Services Team in
Adelaide. Working in the Thermal and Solutions business unit and reporting to the Sector Leader Commercial Buildings, the role undertakes projects with AGL's Business Customers to identify, evaluate and implement energy productivity and efficiency projects.

Specifically the role will encompass:
  • Develop, convert and deliver energy efficiency projects to major industrial and commercial customers through all project phases
  • Carry out energy audits, assessments and other assessments to engage with our customers
  • Successfully deliver energy projects according to the parameters of AGL's Smarterway project management system (based on MS Project Online)
  • Engage with the Business Customers' Sales Team to deliver the Energy Plus+ integrated sales strategy Contribute to the development and management of the business sales platform through the timely delivery of proposals, assistance in the sales process and delivery of projects in accordance with a timeframe agreed with the customer
  • Development of new business opportunities / ideas, drawing on resources from other parts of Energy Services and the broader AGL business such as sales, marketing, media, engineering and finance
  • Develop and implement Health Safety & Environment (HS&E) plans for all specified programmes / projects
  • Proactively manage the health, safety and environmental performance of contractors and employees on projects
About You
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate experience in the following:
  • Possess an understanding of project management principles with demonstrated project management experience
  • Proven capability with regards to managing contractors
  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering
  • Display commercial acumen that can translate to identifying and acquiring project opportunities with AGL's customers
  • Highly developed problem-solving, reasoning and judgment skills in order to achieve the outputs expected from the role
  • An understanding of health and safety policies, including demonstrated ability to take individual responsibility to solve health and safety issues
