The Organisation & Facility
This reputable not for profit Aged Care provider is proud to offer the highest quality of care to residents across QLD.  With excellent support from a corporate services team and opportunities to grow within the organisation, this is a great career opportunity for someone with solid management capabilities.  You will be working at a fully accredited facility, providing high, low and dementia specific care.  You will be supported by another clinical manager who oversees the low care unit and will utilise your advanced clinical knowledge to predominantly manage the high care residents and those with complex clinical cases.  In the absence of the Facility Manager, you will hold the most senior clinical role on site and be responsible for relevant decision making, accordingly.    

The Role
Reporting to the Service Manager who oversees 2 facilities, this position will see you in the senior clinical leadership role on site.  Being one of the lead clinicians, you will guide and mentor a care team that includes 24/7 RN coverage.
Some of your main responsibilities include:  
  • Overseeing and ensuring the delivery of quality care
  • Providing sound clinical governance and leadership to the care team
  • Staff management including handling any performance issues and conflict resolution
  • Ensuring compliance to the Aged Care Accreditation Standards 
  • Overseeing ACFI funding & administration for residents
  • Assisting in interviewing and hiring of new staff
The Requirements
The perfect candidate for this role is an experienced clinical aged care leader with a passion for, and track record of building and supporting teams. You will also have:  
  • Current AHPRA RN Div 1 registration
  • A minimum of 3 years' management experience in the Aged Care industry
  • Previous experience in leading and educating/mentoring a team
  • Advanced clinical, care planning and documentation skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the ACFI processes and documentation as well as the Accreditation Standards
  • Excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills
  • You are an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident
