Clinical Nurse Consultant – Diabetes Education

Full time until June 2018
An interesting and challenging balance of leadership, education and clinical consulting within a GP-led multidisciplinary team; an opportunity to work with front line clinicians to build capacity a
nd expertise in our region.
This position is located in Broken Hill, however delivery of outreach services to communities of the region with travel and overnight stays will be required.
Essential Selection Criteria:
  1. Eligible for appointment to the Clinical Nurse Consultant classification (Registered as a Registered Nurse, at least 5 years postgraduate experience, Graduate Certificate in Health Management – Diabetes or equivalent and at least 3 years full time equivalent experience)
  2. Ability to work in a way that fosters mutual respect in a cross-cultural environment
  3. Ability to incorporate evidence-based research into practice, initiate research projects and effectively disseminate findings
  4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and to provide clinical leadership and mentoring in and with multidisciplinary teams 
  5. Ability to develop, implement and evaluate clinical policies and procedures 
  6. Driver's licence        
  7. Credentialed with ADEA (Australian Diabetic Educators Association)
  8. Ability to provide regular outreach clinics within the Maari Ma region with overnight stays on a weekly basis.
Salary range AU$106k to AU$109k gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience
