About the position:

 Due to our business rapid growth, we are currently seeking a professional and dedicated Marketing Officer.  A successful candidate must be able to assist our privately owned college located in Stones Corner, Queensland. The College is a Registered Training Organisation by the Queensland Department of Education and Training on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students.  We are dedicated to delivering vocational qualifications in the workplace. The Marketing team consists of different staff with diverse skills and talent, the team is responsible for marketing of College products in Locals, National and International markets.  As a Marketing officer, this position will contribute to the overall development, delivery and success of the Marketing Business Plan through clear administrative processes, proactive marketing initiatives, market research and analysis and a strong client relationship with our clients.  Ensuring that Metro is always represented locally, nationally and internationally as a quality provider of VET education and training.

Candidate Profile includes:
  • Assist with the development of new and existing products and services including market/product in the Vocational Education Industry
  • Assist in preparing an annual Marketing Plan with budget and produce monthly reports to as a result of marketing plan monitoring process.
  • Develop new business in relevant markets' needs in Australia and overseas, by identifying an organisation's strengths and weaknesses, and respond to opportunities in the marketing environment
  • Travel to visit the relevant markets to develop and foster productive relationships with agents and other possible clients and key stakeholders
  • Ensure relevant agent details are up to date in Metro's database & ability to use in house systems as required.
  • Maintain Metro College Confidentiality statements in particular issues relating to Metro's marketing plans and activities at all times.
  • Oversee agent training and maintain regular communication with agents
  • Co-ordinate agents agreements in relevant markets and ensure the appropriate agreements and resources are compliant.
  • Participate in marketing workshops and fairs, locally, nationally and internationally as required.
  • Lead the marketing team to organise and participate in local marketing functions (i.e.) Agent meetings and Industry workshops, etc.
  • Develop relationships with pathway providers and create packages to enter into markets where pathways are essential.
  • Answer email enquiries from potential students and agents for both individual and group business
  • Promote the use of website to key stakeholders
  • Coordinate and develop the marketing activities of Metro College over the internet, email and other electronic media, including online promotion, sales and communication.
  • Develop content and organise translations for market-specific, agent's newsletter and distribute to relevant agents online.
  • Must have a strong social media experience and ability to respond immediately to any queries may involve after hours emails and other sources of electronic method.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Metro marketing collateral and e-marketing material
  • Collect student testimonials and participate in student focus groups where appropriate
  • Liaise with students on issues pertaining their welfare and studies in the College
  • In addition to these typical duties, any other reasonable duties as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications and Experiences:
Applicants should have as the minimum following qualifications & experience;
• Diploma or Bachelor or equivalent field with relevant experiences
• Previous experiences in sales and marketing role, preferably in the Vocational Education Sector
• Experience in managing client relationships, preferably international and local
• Experience in social media platform, may involve developing a marketing strategy on customer behaviour and experience in direct marketing and telemarketing.
• Experience in use of Microsoft Application, proficient with Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite & database applications for marketing publications
• Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
• Understanding of client background relationship management
• Experience in the International Education System in particular Asia Region.
