MUSUL Services,Catering & Sales Manager Jobs in Australia

MUSUL Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Melbourne who currently is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced professional to manage our successful Catering & Events department;130 Degrees. The successful applicant will be expected to drive sales, increase stakeholder engagement and identify business growth opportunities.

Specifically, the incumbent will be expected to:
• Maintain and improve the viability of the department by increasing sales, contain costs, manage liquor licence requirements and improve overall customer service;
• Prepare the annual business plan including
performance measurements, ensuring all team members have clear goals and direction in achieving these outcomes;
• Identify and generate new sales through marketing initiatives;
• Develop food and services practices to a high standard and in line with compliance, sustainability and relevant legislation.

To succeed in this position, you will possess:
• Tertiary qualifications in Catering, Business Management, Marketing/Sales or an equivalent combination of relevant experience;
• Extensive experience within catering, management, sales and /or business development role (at least 6 years’ experience in a similar role) specific to catering;
• Liquor licence training and qualifications;
• Excellent organisational, time management and administrative skills;
• Excellent customer relations skills and highly developed leadership skills;
• High level computer proficiency, including the Microsoft Office Suite and event/catering systems and databases;

This is a full time (35 hours per week), continuing position with a total remuneration package between $79k up to $88k per annum, dependent on the successful candidates’ knowledge, skills and experience.
