Our client is a Australian agricultural company with a number of properties in NSW specialising in mixed cropping and sh
eep. They seek an experienced and hands on Farm Manager/Overseer on their dryland cropping and fat lamb property in Central West NSW. 

The successful candidate will be a self starter who will attend to the daily operation of a modern mixed farming operation who is able to work unsupervised or as part of a team and effectively communicate with the owners and management team.

Your role will involve all aspects of modern cropping operations using modern plant plus overseeing staff and sub contractors at peak periods. Your position will also comprise of livestock management for wool and prime lamb production.

• Tertiary Qualification/s in Agriculture or other related disciplines (preferred)
• Minimum of 2-5 years practical broad acre cropping experience
• Experience in pest and disease surveillance and management practices
• Proven experience with sheep production for wool and fattening operations
• Knowledge of soil science, weed species, crop varieties, insecticides, fungicides and weedicides
• Experience with spray programming and monitoring
• Demonstrated competency in machinery operation and maintenance
• Understanding and application of precision Ag practices
• Sound mechanical knowledge and comfort with technical farming systems
• Sound use of GPS technology
• Current ChemCert certificate (essential)
• HR licence minimum
• Experience working with and managing staff and contractors
• Basic skills in web based applications, email & record keeping
• Good communication skills with agronomist and absentee owners
• Demonstrate a high level of engagement, team skills and a self starter attitude

This Farm Manager/Overseer role is a full-time position and will include a house to accommodate a family. A flexible start date and salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate subject to experience and qualifications.
