The ACOR Group of Consulting Engineers is an established national multi-disciplined engineering firm. Our Baulkham Hills office is looking for a Graduate Chemical Engineer to join our growing team.
This permanent position within ACOR's Baulkham Hills office in NSW involves the performance of engineering design consultancy tasks as directed by either senior or principal engineers, within ACOR's dangerous goods, risk and petrochemical division. The role encompasses providing pr
oject management skills, dangerous goods advice and risk assessment, and engineering services from project inception and design to installation and commissioning. Budget tracking and report preparation are also required. Training and project requirements may result in local and/or interstate travel.

Key Responsibilities: (under the guidance of a senior engineer)
  • Estimating and reviewing scope of works
  • Managing clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers
  • Dangerous Goods Compliance Review and Auditing
  • Petrochemical engineering design calculations and equipment selection
  • Administration of project information
  • Development of design and compliance reports and specifications
  • Analysis of job performance upon completion
  • Working in accordance with the ACOR Business Management System
  • Maintain contact with clients and feedback issues to management

Skills & Experience:
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of chemical procedures and processes
  • Ability to work as a part of a close knit team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
  • Competent in the use of all Microsoft office applications
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and adapt

Qualifications:
  • Obtained or working towards a relevant tertiary qualification - Chemical Engineering or similar
  • Current driver's license

Previous Experience:
  • Competency in the use of AutoCAD advantageous
  • Experience with safety, risk and/or petrochemical design is desirable
