Micron21 is an outer-eastern Melbourne datacentre based in Kilsyth that specializes in server co location, virtualization, managed services and enterprise-grade webhosting. We are looking for the correct candidate to join an enthusiastic, tight-knit and growing team.
What you will do:
You will be the primary point of contact between Micron21 and our clients, providing the highest quality customer service that we are known for whilst also providing initial technical support as needed.

Who you are:
You have a passion for computers and would like to begin your career and gain usable skills in Enterprise level Information Technology. You are looking for an introduction to hardware and systems that are only seen at the enterprise level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to customer requests using different methods such as telephone and email.
• Present an excellent telephone manner
• Clarify requirements with customers and efficiently log important details to assist in troubleshooting.
• Use decision making, analytical and problem solving skills to resolve issues
• Escalate to senior staff requests that require specialist assistance.
• Develop and maintain a professional relationship with clients
Job Requirements:
• Excellent telephone and communications skills
• Basic UNIX and CLI knowledge
• Reliable
• Current drivers license & vehicle
• Outstanding problem solving capabilities
• Great team player who is able to learn from others

• Ability to work in a fast-pace and high pressured environment
• Ability to work during shifts on a rotating roster
Skills and exposure you would have:
• Exposure to webhosting (cPanel)
• Familiar with a variety of Operating Systems (MacOS, Windows & Linux)
• Understanding of DNS and how to troubleshoot DNS related issues
• Comfortable working with computer hardware (Replacing drives, RAM etc)
• Familiarity with all facets of email from client setup through to a basic knowledge of how email works.
• Ability to work autonomously and achieve results.
