As an Industry Business Development Manager (Financial Services) your core responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and execution of Account Business plans to assigned accounts to achieve targeted sales, revenue and profitability objectives
  • Leading and managing the overall development of required business relationships within assigned accounts
  • Collaborating with practice managers, capability leaders and site leads to assist in the sales and proposal generation processes
  • Liaising with Practice, Operations and Resourcing Managers to assist in the review of appropriate resource allocation within the account and keep abreast of activities to ensure engagements are successfully delivered to customer expectations
To succeed in this role you will have:
  • A proven track record in developing and winning new business sales
  • Consultative sales approach with formal sales methodology experience
  • A proactive, independent and self-motivated style of working Extensive  ICT systems integration, consulting and related services sales experience
  • Strong business and application domain knowledge
  • Experience in leading the development of winning proposals and closing sales
  • Ability to work with other teams within SMS regionally and nationally to proactively develop account new business and strategies
  • Extensive network at the Enterprise and Corporate account level within the banking, finance, insurance services markets
Highly Desirable:
  • Business development experience driving Sales TCV of $10-$30 million across the entire sales cycle from opportunity lead through to sales closure.
  • Experience in large complex multi-million dollar solutions and managed services sales
  • An extended network of executive relationships across the financial services sector
  • Deep knowledge of the value chain and operating models that support the industries within the sector.
