About the Role
The Health and Community Care Business Area at Chisholm aims to provide a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong professional links and partnerships within the health and community services sector.

We currently have the opportunity for qualified and experienced Teachers to join the team based in Frankston to deliver in our Diploma of Nursing program. This role is responsible for providing excellence in education and training by developing and delivering teaching to a diverse range of students, providing assistance to the Senior Educator in the development of teacher and student resources and using innovative delivery and assessment approaches.

The role will provide the opportunity to assist with establishing a dynamic teaching team applying contemporary educational frameworks that are designed to assist students in connecting theory to practice and incorporates simulation teaching methodologies.

We are looking for someone with substantial, broad-based, teaching experience in nursing programs, a keen interest in applying contemporary, evidence-based teaching and learning methods to maximise student learning outcomes with a student-centered focus and a commitment to educational excellence. To work successfully within the Business Area you will need to be an excellent communicator and team player who is both positive and self-motivated.

Skills and Experience
As the successful candidate you will have:
  • TAE40110 (Cert IV Training and Assessment)
  • Vocational qualifications relevant to or above the level required for any current teaching requirement along with industry currency
  • Experience undertaking and complying with business rules requirements and standard administrative procedures for achieving quality student data management
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed minimum quality requirements through considered and sustained approaches to learning and assessment and student management
  • Ability to align delivery methods and learning resources to meet contemporary student and client learner needs and expectations
  • Digital literacy skills and competency
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Working with Children Check or current VIT registration
  • Current AHPRA registration
A Diploma VET Practice, TAE50111 Diploma VET or a higher equivalent qualification would be advantageous along with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in VET including awareness of national VET policies and frameworks, relevant state and commonwealth legislation and guidelines, key sources of VET information and advice.
