We are looking for a dedicated and innovative Early Childhood Teacher to join the Liverpool City Council Early Childhood Team. This Position requires the applicant to provide leadership in the design, implementation and evaluation of high quality educational programmes for children attending our centres.

As an Early Childhood Teacher you will have experience in mentoring and supporting educators in the delivery of educations programs, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies within the childcare environment.

It is essential that you are a degree qualified Early Childhood Teacher and have child protection training approved and recognised by NSW Community Services. A first aid certificate is also essential. In addition you will have detailed knowledge of child development and of the current theories/approaches to early childhood education and care.

The essential criteria also require the applicant to possess:

  • Experience in the design and implementation of high quality early childhood programmes
  • Working within a multifunctional team environment and within project groups
  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge in supporting, leading and motivating an early childhood team
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in reflecting on, monitoring and evaluating own teaching practices
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant.
