VET Trainers Jobs in Australia

We are on a look out for Trainers and Assessors to teach a range of VET qualifications at Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels:

  • BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management
  • BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management
  • SIT50313 Diploma of Hospitality
  • SIT50212 Diploma of Events
The Role: The mail responsibility of a VET Trainer is to assist students towards gaining knowledge and skills as prescribed in the training package.
Key responsibilities:
  • Prepare for and deliver training to VET students;
  • Customise lesson plans and utilise a variety of innovative instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of individual students;
  • Assess learner needs and provide additional support to students;
  • Regularly monitor and record student participation and course progress;     
  • Play an active part in suggesting, organising and assisting with additional resources; such as; live chat, online forums, webinars, podcasts, online tutorials and workshops;
  • Maintain an ongoing program of professional development that satisfies both ASQA requirements and personal expectation as a professional VET trainer;
  • Participate in student and course evaluations and reviews, moderation and validation sessions;
  • Share and collaborate with other VET trainers to develop and enhance VET training resources at AIPE.
Selection Criteria:
  • A passion for teaching and an understanding of the needs of VET students;
  • An equivalent qualification or higher in the chosen field of training plus a Certificate IV in TAE;
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in VET training;
  • Be available for work between 8.30am and 6.30pm (Monday to Saturday);
  • Willing to travel;
  • An understanding of the regulations and guidelines, as outlined in the National Code and RTO Standards;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to interact with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and a high-level of computer literacy;
  • Be a Permanent Resident of Australia.
