The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists has a proud record of promoting professional standards and patient safety in the areas of anaesthesia and pain medicine.  The College is at the forefront of specialist medical education, ensuring it continues to evolve to meet the changing demands of the profession and the patients it serves.

We are looking for a results focussed curriculum officer with a collaborative approach to curriculum development for medical training and professional development programs. The College education committees are responsible for ongoing evaluation and improvement of our curricula based on accreditation requirements and our own strategic goals. This role is a specialist role requiring knowledge of medical terminology and also education program design.

Reporting to the General Manager, Education, you will support developmental projects of the College, working closely with volunteering specialist and trainee anaesthetists with educational experience. You will bring to this role a breadth of experience including the demonstrated ability to translate conceptual and aspiration learning goals to well-articulated learning outcomes, assessment processes and teaching approaches. Engagement with project group members and additional stakeholders will deliver outcomes that help shape the College's education.

A proven hands-on individual, you will have experience in supporting project groups working to a project methodology and in an organisation governed by committee structures. You will have experience of supporting projects which include implementation in remote locations and using technology, and you will also have experience of projects which have a strong focus on stakeholder engagement. You will facilitate collaboration at the highest level. You will pride yourself in achieving outstanding results to support people with ambition and passion and will be committed to managing stakeholder relations.

Exposure to or experience working in an academic, membership, medical or hospital environment will be highly regarded.
