This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled and dedicated team of early childhood  educators. The service has three dedicated rooms for 36 children per day from ages 6 weeks to 6 years. The privately owned centre has been established for 10 years in the Toukley community and upho
lds a commendable reputation for high quality care and education.
The successful candidate will meet the following the requirements;
  • Hold a Diploma in Children's Services/Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Have a current clear WWCC
  • First Aid Training Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management
  • A minimum of three years experience working in a long day care setting with experience as a team leader preferable. Applicants not meeting all of the above need not apply.

It is expected that the successful candidate will have a high standard of articulation and literacy skills, confidence, and industry knowledge.

1.1  Knowledge of early childhood philosophy and theories.
1.2 Thorough knowledge of child development.
1.3 Sound knowledge of relevant hygiene and health practices.
1.4 Sound knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standard.
1.5 Understanding of the National Early Years Learning Framework and ability to incorporate this into programming and practice.
2.1  Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, especially with children, parents and staff.
2.2  Commitment to excellence in the provision of services to young children, including continued professional development.
2.3  Ability to document written observations and programs to a high standard.
2.4  Ability to use computer software and other technology effectively.
2.5  Ability and commitment to work as part of a team.
2.6  Effective time management skills.
2.7  Ability to provide supervision and direction to junior staff, and to follow direction from senior staff.
2.8. Reliable, caring and well presented.
2.9 Ability and willingness to work with all age groups of children in a child care setting.
