Reporting to the Deputy Secretary Planning
, the Executive Director Planning, Building & Heritage will lead three highly specialist teams responsible for maintaining and enhancing Victoria's statutory planning and building systems, as well as heritage decision-making, enforcement, compliance and program delivery.
The appointee will lead the shaping of important planning and building systems policy, legislative and regulatory framework reform, and constructively contribute to the Department's leadership culture.
Ideally possessing urban planning or similar qualifications, you bring deep insight into planning and building systems, combined with strong system, legislative, policy development and reform experience. A proven executive, you have successfully led discrete and highly specialist functions in complex environments, are adept at engaging and influencing stakeholders, and possess sound understanding of statutory decision-making.
