Our current reform program is responsible for developing process improvements across the division to realise efficiency increases, system modernisation using state of the art technologies, and new ways of supporting and developing our people. We are looking for people who have a variety of skills and experience ranging from project inception and planning to project management, project delivery and everything in between.

The Opportunity
A challenging new career opportunity exists for a Test Manager. Working within the Major Works Division, you will be accountable for the planning, design, execution and reporting of testing and assurance activities for Operational Technology projects to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose, comply with the organisations and projects requirements, and that the safety and integrity of the Sydney Trains system is not compromised by project deliverables.

You will also be tasked with providing subject matter expertise in best risk based testing practice and systems assurance activities for Operational Technology projects and their stakeholders alongside managing the building and on-going custodianship of the Operational Technology model room and test environments. Some of your other key accountabilities include:
 
  • delivering effective and efficient testing activities for Operational Technology projects to mitigate organisational, project and system risks
  • developing, implementing, monitoring and updating test plans to ensure that testing projects are completed within agreed time, cost, and scope, whilst ensuring safety and integrity is maintained
  • reviewing externally developed test plans to ensure that testing is fit for purpose ensuring safety, quality and integrity is maintained.
  • preparing and presenting status and completion reports on test activities including issues, risks and mitigation plans
 
Location
This position will initially be based in the Sydney CBD however will be relocating to Clyde in 2017.
