  • Full time, fixed term contract for two (2) years (further employment may be offered at the end of this term, subject to funding)
  • Salary range: $88,341 to $104,906 (Level BRF) / $108,218 to $124,785 (Level CSRF) per annum

The Quality Use of Medicines and Pharmacy Research Centre (QUMPRC), which sits within our School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences has a national and international reputation for its work in medicine safety, pharmacoepidemiology and medicines policy. We are seeking a Research Fellow to work with senior staff within the QUMPRC to identify and develop research proposals, funding and manuscripts in the medicine use field, or a Senior Research Fellow to also take a lead role in the development of pharmacy research.

You will prepare peer reviewed journal articles and conference papers for submission, and develop collaborations with consumer and community organisations, professional bodies and other potential partners in order to enhance the profile of the Centre. You will also undertake supervision of Honours and postgraduate research students, and provide academic counselling and advice to research students.

A PhD in pharmacy, medical sciences, health science or a similar field is essential, as is a demonstrated understanding of the issues surrounding the quality use of medicines. You will be have a sound trajectory in your research career, evidenced by publications of your research in quality journals, and the dissemination of results through conference publications and the general media.
