We are looking for a dynamic and results focused person to join us on a full time basis in the position of Injury Management Advisor.
Working across our diverse business units, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and proactive management of workers compensations claims and injury management strategies that support the health and well being of our people, within a Crown Self Insured environment.
Every day in this role will be different as you work across the full spectrum of claims management and injury prevention activities. Your strong understanding of the legislation and the self-insured environment will cement you as our workplace expert. You aren’t afraid to make evidence based decisions and stand by them, and take a risk based approach to resolution. You love working through complex issues and are comfortable wearing many hats as you work with managers, injured workers, rehab providers and legal services to resolve claims positively. You will be across the detail of all claims and be able to analyse data to highlight trends across our business. Above all you will be a solutions focussed and passionate person who can demonstrate the benefits that great injury management practices can bring to our workplace.

Essential Criteria:
  • A proven track record with the strategic management of claims in a self insured environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in an Injury Management, Work Health and Safety, Allied Health or similar discipline – or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of Return to Work legislation and the ability to apply this to complex scenarios.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary Injury Management theory and practice.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of Injury Management initiatives that decrease workplace risks across a diverse staff group.
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • Genuine respect and commitment to caring for people with disabilities and people who are aging.
  • I.T. literacy including previous use of SIMS (Self Insurance Management System).
