The role
Reporting to a Team Leader, this role sees you providing pro-active support to EML's claims teams in the assessment and determination of liability in accordance with Victorian workers compensation law. This is a specialist function that requires strong technical ability and comprehensive understanding of Victorian workers compensation law and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines and agent requirements.
You will be responsible for:
  • assessment and determination of claim liability in line with Victorian workers compensation law, WorkSafe Victoria guidelines and EML policies and procedures
  • risk streaming
  • calculation of pre injury average weekly earnings
  • pro-active identification of recovery potential
  • providing a worker, employer and stakeholder service experience that is tailored, effective and client focused.
Your skills and experience
We're looking for people with a passion to make a difference and help people get their lives back.To be successful in this role, you'll have proven skills and experience, including:
  • a minimum of three years' workers compensation claims management experience
  • an excellent understanding of Victorian workers compensation law and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines
  • sound analytical skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent organisational abilities and capacity to meet deadlines
  • competency in the use of Microsoft Office suite products, including intermediate to advanced skill levels in MS Word and MS Excel.
