Gladesville Out of School Hours Inc. is a vibrant 118 place centre located in the spacious grounds of Gladesville Public School, providing Before and After School Care and Vacation Care programs for the local community. The centre is highly regarded and governed by a very s
upportive Parent Management Committee (PMC). The service is expected to experience further growth in the foreseeable future. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Permanent Educator who has a strong background in Childcare or OSHC and will enhance the service through creative and dynamic leadership, while maintaining practices and a high level of focus on the National Quality Framework (NQF).
Duties:
As a permanent Educator your duties will include:
  • Develop strong relationships with children, parents, educators and the school
  • Work within a team on a day to day basis to deliver a service which is compliant with the regulations
Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor of Education, Diploma in Out of School Hours, Diploma in Children's Services
  • First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Certificate
  • Authorised Supervisor Certificate
  • Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework
  • A positive, professional and co-operative approach to working with educators, parents and the school community
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Sound knowledge of software programs
  • Knowledge of responsibilities under Child Protection compliance
  • Clearance under the new working with children check
Conditions of Employment:
  • This is a permanent part time and casual educator's position of a minimum of 12 hours per week
  • Above award wages will be offered to the successful applicant
