Our specialist medical service is seeking a full-time Medical Practice Manager at our busy Malvern location. The site has an exciting blend of patient clinics and clinical studies, ensuring we remain at the forefront of patient care. We are seeking an experienced Medical Practice Manager to guide the administration team, whilst ensuring delivery of exceptional customer service to patients, doctors and referrers.
The successful applicant will be a team focused, proactive individual equally comfortable interacting with staff and doctors alike. Superior communication skills, combined with sound attention to detail are essential. This is a busy hands-on role. Strong decision making skills and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a high-pressure environment are essential. A multi-faceted role where you will be expected to demonstrate consistent leadership and direction to the administration team whilst ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our busy clinics.
Your responsibilities will be varied and include:
  • Supervise a team of highly capable administration staff
  • Work in close partnership with clinical staff and managers
  • Management of the day to day running of the site
  • Staff training, rostering and performance management
  • Ensure a high level of patient care and service
  • Session management: smooth running of consulting sessions and operating lists
  • Ensure accurate and timely bookings and billings
  • Liaising with doctors, management and patient referrers
The role would suit a highly motivated, proactive and organised applicant with past experience in medical specialist rooms. A positive and professional attitude and the ability to work successfully as part of a team is essential. You will be part of a dynamic team in a role that will evolve and grow with our practice. Experience in the health care industry including an understanding of Medicare and Private Health Fund systems is essential.
