What's the role?

RAC Insurance is looking for strong, focused and results orientated Claims Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Team Leader in the associated business unit, these roles are responsible for handling and settling member claims promptly, efficiently and cost effectively; whilst ensuring the delivery of exceptional member service. You would also be responsible for managing a caseload of claims while providing outstanding service to our members. Your duties will include but not be limited to;
  • Managing a caseload of claims
  • Negotiating liability with other insurers and third parties
  • Communicating processes clearly verbally and in writing 
  • Ensure Members understand their claim entitlement & the claim process
  • Managing Member expectations with clear communication of time frames
  • Liaise with external Service Providers and Insurance companies
  • Consistently provide service that exceeds member's expectations
  • Effectively manage own caseload within the Code of Practice guidelines 
  • Comply with RAC internal Best Practice Procedures (BPPs)

  • Ability to organise and manage your workload in a highly effective manner
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational skills which are second to none
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex processes, decisions/reason to our members
  • Ability to analyse information and make timely commercial decisions
  • Problem solve, negotiate & effectively resolve customer complaints
  • Handle difficult situations and assist members in difficult circumstances
  • Work autonomously and with minimal supervision
  • React and adapt positively to change
  • Exhibit enthusiasm, self-motivation and team spirit
