We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiasti
c person to join the Tennis West team in the role of School Development Coordinator.

Reporting to the Participation Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract you will be responsible for ensuring schools are provided with opportunities to access programs, professional learning and competition structures to create a tennis culture at the school.

The role will engage, influence, support, educate and develop relationships with key stakeholders, including schools, teachers and students in the sport of Tennis. The School Development Coordinator will contribute to increasing registered players and work towards our goal of ONE million connected Australians.

The School Development Coordinator will develop a strong network of relationships and provide ongoing support to Schools.

Your duties will include but not limited to:
  • Fostering relations and providing ongoing support to schools
  • Drive Primary School Competitions - Develop and implement the Primary School Competition pathway in consultation with the Competitions Team ensuring it fits within the broader Competitions strategy
  • Support Conferences & Events – Assist with VIP events and at conferences such as ACHPER and Peak, to drive awareness of programs
  • Support professional Learning and Education - Provide professional learning and support to Education Managers with the implementation of teacher training and workshops

To get 'court up' and be successful in becoming our newest member of Tennis Australia you must have the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
  • Tertiary qualification in education, teaching or sports management
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Australian school sector
  • Knowledge and understanding of state sporting association structures
  • A tennis enthusiast
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to evoke the cooperation of stakeholders across a wide range of organisations
  • A high level organisational skills with a focus on attention to detail and problem solving
  • High level knowledge of office administration, equipment, database, email and internet systems
