The Role
The Town of Port Hedland are currently seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Works and Services
team. The successful applicants will be expected to operate as effective team members assisting in all activities within the Works Operations team.
This is an open casual recruitment pool. The panel will regularly monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess any applications received on a regular basis from which appointments may be made when casual vacancies arise.

Your Experience
  • Developed time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated team building skills
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
  • Ability to be flexible with in the team and work in all areas of Works Operations
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to follow detailed instruction either verbal or written
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Previous experience as a plant operator/ labourer/ landscaper is highly regarded.
This position is not eligible for subsidised housing or housing allowance. Prospective applicants should make themselves aware of the accommodation situation in Port Hedland prior to submitting an application.

  • HR class drivers licence
  • White Card
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role.
