The University Library’s modernisation agenda is focused on delivering high quality, client-centred services, information resources and learning spaces to support world-class research and research-informed teaching. As such, we are seeking to appoint innovative, energetic and collaborative individuals like you, to join our Site Services team. The Site Services division manages non-digital resources, circulation and membership, information and enquiry services, and provides management of the library’s physical learning environment and study spaces across multiple sites. 

As Site Services Assistant, you will support students, staff and the community in their use of the full range of information services offered by the library at various sites. Using your excellent customer service skills, you will deliver high quality assistance at service points, online and via telephone. Your key deliverable is to ensure that clients identify the information they require to support their learning and research needs. You will also provide administrative support to for an area of service delivery, for example document delivery or membership services

To succeed in this role you will have a track record of great client service and a positive attitude towards team work and achieving group goals, plus be a good problem solver who can prioritise work during busy periods and keep an eye on the all-important detail. Your ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement will also be in demand. Flexibility is essential with staff working across the various library locations and delivering service in the evening and at weekends. Experience of working in a library or learning support environment is desirable.
