Specialist Medical Practice requires a dynamic part-time staff member. The Medical practice is located in SJOG Hospital Murdoch Medical Centre. We are an extremely busy practice and the opportunity exists to join a great team. The suitable applicant needs to be thoroughly professional in both manner and presentation and a pro-active mem
ber of the team willing to provide support to all of our staff and clientele.

Full-time position, maternity leave cover with the possibility of further extension to the contract.

Salary - Hourly rate to be negotiated based on qualification and previous experience

About you……
  • Experience using Genie software, desirable
  • Previous medical Secretarial/Reception experience desirable
  • Proficient medical audio typing essential incl medical temrinology
  • Intermediate - Advanced computer skills
  • Professional personal presentation and polite respectful manner essential, strong work ethic
  • Excellent phone manners and interpersonal skills when dealing with patients, other doctors and hospital staff
  • Highly developed organisational skills essential
  • Switched-on/pro-active work ethic and friendly attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace

About the role......
  • Reception duties - attending to all telephone enquiries promptly and efficiently and greeting patients for clinics
  • Audio typing of letters & reports
  • Booking consult appointments and co-ordinating theatre bookings
  • Generating accounts - consult and theatre including patient quotes
  • Ordering medical supplies and office stationary/suppplies
  • General administration as required
  • High level of patient service and compassion
  • Maintaining a clean and highly functional work environment.
