Progression Coach - Community Services Faculty
Reporting to:  Director of Studies
Hours:  38 hours per week
Location:  Gold Coast

Purpose of the position
Our Progression Coach team will be responsible for developing and maintaining a student's progress and interest in their enrolled course. The
Progression Coach will work with the student to progress throughout a course and reach certain milestones including various commencement, census and completion dates.
The Progression Coach will achieve this by engaging with students in our learning management system, taking inbound and making outbound calls as well as sending and responding to emails and text messages and liaising with the relevant staff member/s.
The Progression Coach will also be responsible for completing a range of academic tasks, which will include providing subject specific advice, assessing submitted work, providing detailed feedback and participating in a range of validation and standardisation activities.

Key responsibilities & duties
  • Regularly engage with each allocated student
  • Encourage success and follow up on periods of inactivity to ensure progression and motivation levels remain high
  • Provide timely academic and pastoral support
  • Assess submitted work in a timely manner and provide detailed feedback for each assessment
  • Record student results and communication in the student management system
  • Analyse a rage of activity and progression reports, supplying summaries as requested by management
  • Participate in a range of assessment review, validation and standardisation activities
  • Contribute to course content improvement
  • General administrative tasks associated with their allocated students' enrolment
  • Checking and responding to emails as part of a daily routine

Educational qualifications
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain this)
  • CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services
  • Detailed understanding of the requirements of the VET Quality Framework

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Fast learner

  • Confidence to speak with students and other stakeholders to seek feedback
  • Takes pride in the work they produce
