Chefs All Levels - Modern Vegetarian


Transformer Fitzroy is currently looking for an experienced and self-motivated Chef for full time work. We are a casual fine dining restaurant in the heart of Fitzroy, offering a seasonal vegetarian menu based upon fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in a similar style of restaurant.
Essential to this role are strong organisational skills and a focus on customer satisfaction. You will be working closely with our head chef in developing new ideas for our continually evolving seasonal menu, so we require someone with advanced skills in modern food preparation and plating, combined with a flair for innovation and creativity. An interest in vegetarian and vegan cuisine will be an advantage. 
Experience in the following is preferred, though not essential:
  • running the pass and co-ordinating multiple sections to produce food of consistently high quality
  • communicating effectively with front-of-house and kitchen staff in a confident and respectful manner
  • overseeing food safety and hygiene
  • implementing and maintaining production systems and workflows
  • staff training and team development
We offer excellent conditions and remuneration. Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience.
