Accountability and Objectives
·         Responsible for managing a team of designers to develop and implement innovative solutions in commercial furniture.
·         Incorporate design expertise in new product development.
·         Assure market leading competitiveness of products and processes from both a design and technological standpoint.
·         Being able to prioritise product development activities to ensure on time delivery of new products to markets.
·         Promote team work and collaboration across all levels of the business.
·         Encourage creativity within the R&D team.
·         Ensure that technical product knowledge is shared across all levels of the business.
·         Degree qualified in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering.
·         Demonstrate a high level of expertise in the use of Solidworks.
·         Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a R&D management role responsible for a team of up to 6 people.
·         Previous results in developing innovative design solutions to market.
