The Role
We have an exciting new position of Remote Support Engineer - Systems and Applications. You will have the opportunity to work extensively in the Information Technology/Operation Technology convergence environments and be part of a global team to provide remote support for server infrastructure, virtualisation and application layers for various customers from different industries including mining, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and food & beverage industries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to customers remotely. Use or develop appropriate resources to answer support enquires such as knowledgebase, supporting documentation, other local or global engineers, or product simulation
  • Create and maintain technical documents for the knowledgebase, and other application documentation to provide on-line solutions to commonly experienced situations
  • Provide simulation and analysis of faults for customers through use of physical and virtual labs when necessary, making appropriate recommendations
  • Maintain an appropriate level of both customer and industry system knowledge
  • Maintain current technical knowledge of Rockwell products, associated equipment, and technologies
The Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 year experience in Information Technology/Systems or customer support
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MSCE), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MSCA) or equivalent is preferred
  • Cisco Network Certified Associate or Entry Network Technician (CCNA/CCENT) is desirable
  • Active Directory Architecture and VMWare/Hyper-V administration experience is desirable
