This rural council is seeking a multi-skilled Local Laws Officer to join the team on a temporary contract


Your new company
This rural council located in Eastern Victoria is seeking an experienced multi-skilled Local Laws Officer to join their team on a temporary basis for a period of 8 weeks. This role will be commencing in 2 weeks from now!

Your new role
You will be required to actively detect breaches related to all Acts, Regulations and Local Laws for which the department is responsible and issue infringements or instigate legal proceedings where voluntary compliance is not achieved. There will be some Animal Management duties as well like pick up's, drop off's, etc. Also you will be enforcing Parking duties too, very minimal. You will have the ability to work well with others in the pursuit of team goals, good written and verbal skills and an understanding of the needs and expectations of internal and external customers. You will also have the ability to remain calm and objective in stressful situations.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have completed Certificate IV in Compliance, or similar. Must have prior experience in Local Laws, Animal Management & Parking enforcement and a current Victorian Drivers License is essential.
