The Reef House and Spa Palm Cove is the most iconic Colonial Style Beach House in Queensland. We are renowned for our personalised service in a truly relaxed setting offering tranquillity, ambience & privacy.
We are currently seeking a Rooms Division
Manager and genuine hospitality professional to deliver the highest level of guest engagement and personalised service, treating every house guest like a celebrity.
Our next Rooms Division Manager will have the opportunity to help reposition the Reef House in new markets after a substantial refurbishment, we will challenge current rate structures and deliver higher levels of customer service and intimacy than ever before.
Our ideal Rooms Division Manager must have previous experience in Luxury Hotels, understand intimate and bespoke service and have the energy and drive to be successful in one's career and ensure the highest levels of guest service at all times.       
We value one's ability to be self-motivated, be energetic and have a strong understanding of Front Office and Housekeeping operations to deliver traditional service etiquette required in a Luxury Boutique Hotel.

Job tasks and responsibilities
  • Effective management of all guest arrivals and departures to ensure we deliver our guests outstanding memorable moments.
  • Ensure the effective leadership and management of our housekeeping and Laundry departments.
  • Leading by example to develop and train our Front Office team to ensure outstanding guest service.
  • Proactively ensure all Property and Brand guidelines are in place and new information is effectively communicated  
  • Controlling costs & wages through effective staffing and hands on management
  • Accurate reporting and open communication with our Financial Controller, Housekeeping and Maintenance Supervisor
  • Ensure safety, security and legislative requirements are being met
  • Be able to respond and control emergency situations in times of need
  • Coordinate Revenue Management Strategies in conjunction with the General Manager
Skills and experience
  • Previous management experience in a similar environment, a luxury upscale property.
  • Knowledge of Revenue Management
  • In depth knowledge of Front Office and Housekeeping standards and procedures
  • Authentic customer service, interpersonal & communication skills & be flexible in your approach
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation
  • Excellent organisation and time management
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Experience with a PMS. Opera preferred but not essential
  • Available to work weekdays and weekends including shift work
  • Optional on site accommodation is available
