About the Job
Macleay College invites applications for sessional teaching positions for 2016 in our Diploma of Business Management, Diploma of Marketing and Bachelor of Business programs in the areas of:
  • Marketing & Sales
  • Digital Marketing
  • Digital Media
  • Digital Entrepreneurship
  • Management including Strategy and Leadership
  • Sports Management
Candidates should have well-developed teaching and professional experience in one or more of these areas and a post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline. The appointees will be expected to deliver high-quality teaching, to assist in program development where appropriate, and to contribute to the effective management of the Business Faculty in Sydney and Melbourne. 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of lectures including assessment and materials
  • Delivery of lectures
  • Marking and resulting of assessments
  • Contributing to innovations in teaching and learning 
  • Contribute to academic administration
  • Involvement in professional activity
  • Consultation with students
  • Attendance at faculty meetings

About the Person
Macleay College is seeking to appoint enthusiastic, inspiring and experienced academics to join our Business Faculty. Applications are encouraged from academics who can teach across disciplines and bring something unique to the student experience.
The successful candidate will possess high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide quality customer service in a higher education environment. Selection Criteria
  • Tertiary qualification with relevant professional experience related fields
  • Teaching experience demonstrating commitment and success
  • Professional experience and industry relationships with relevant practitioners and organisations
  • Ability to inspire students through knowledge of subject matter and an interactive, dynamic teaching style
  • Excellent IT skills (preferable is experience in Moodle software)
  • Excellent liaison and interpersonal skills
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Works cooperatively and effectively in a team environment
  • Flexible and demonstrates openness and receptivity to new ideas and approaches
