hools of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, ECU’s School of Arts and Humanities offers a diverse range of programs covering media and communications, contemporary arts, design, psychology and social sciences, criminology and justice and the humanities.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a teacher/researcher role, as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, within the field of English Literature. The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record in teaching (including team teaching), should have a strong publication record and experience in successful post-graduate supervision
Specifically, we seeking an established academic with:
•    Expertise in 20th and 21st Century literature,
•    Experience in teaching contemporary critical theory
•    A background in poetry
•    Evidence of high quality research and research engagement; and
•    Teaching and/or research experience in postcolonialism/transnational literature, including the intersecting effects of colonialism, decolonization, migration, and globalization.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry and Personal Excellence.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time, on-going position attracts remuneration of $95,979 to $113,978 (Level B) / $117,573 - $135,570 (Level C) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
