Diamond Valley Learning Centre,VCAL Coordinator (reengagement program)

Ad for VCAL Coordinator Position
At Valley VCAL@DVLC we believe that building positive relationships with students in a safe and caring learning community enables young people to re-engage with education in a transformative way. We are committed to providing disenfranchised young people with an integrated wellbeing, educational and pathways program that is constantly improving. All staff believe that the young people we work with will succeed. Our staff are positive, enthusiastic, flexible, compassionate and empathic.

Most of our students have experienced trauma, school failure, mental health issues or other challenges which have led to disengagement and anxiety. We are committed to a strengths based trauma informed education model.
We have around 80 students across 5 classes and 2 Greensborough campuses. This position involves the administration of a complex program which has a number of streams and significant compliance demands. It is a challenging but rewarding role.  Our small team of teaching, wellbeing and administrative staff are supportive and work closely together. Our size and dynamic culture mean that it is easy to try new ideas and make change.
We are a leading reengagement education provider with a commitment to innovation and best practice. Our VCAL program has grown consistently and we opened a new campus this year.
The VCAL coordinator is the 2IC in the Youth Programs area and has primary responsibility for compliance and administration.
Valley VCAL is a part of Diamond Valley Learning Centre, a strong provider of adult education with a diverse program.
